Among Us has become quite the craze during this pandemic. And now you can play it in real life!
Well, sort of. Obviously you're not going to be up in a spaceship murdering your friends and jettisoning people into space.
But you will have lots of fun pretending to murder them!
A bunch of kids I know recently decided that they want to make an Among Us game in real life, and asked me if I could help them. I looked at their unevenly sized cards that they had cut out of paper and their little minigame of fixing wires, and thought of how complex this process would be.
'Well,' I told them, 'I could help you now, but how bout you wait a couple days and I will be back with something really cool for us to play?'
Having delivered on bringing fun stuff before, they agreed. So I spent the weekend creating a printable Real Life Among Us Game.
And when I brought it back to them, it was a hit.
The older kids loved it, and the littler ones had no idea how to play but had fun searching around for tasks nonetheless.
And I figured, well, there's a lot of staying at home lately, and this would be great for a family game night. There's nothing that says family bonding like wondering which one of your siblings murdered dad. Er, right?
Anyway, this could be great for:
- Family fun night
- Kids party
- Grownup party
- Youth groups
- Whatever other gathering you can think of! (You know, once gatherings are allowed again.)
Here's what you need to play:
- The free Among Us IRL download
- A printer (or print service)
- Laminating sheets and laminator (for reuse)
- Dry erase markers
- Tape
- Flashlights (optional)
- Airhorn (optional)

Hey there! Someone has asked for an editable copy of the player cards, so here it is!
There are two options:
- The first file is an MS Word document and is completely editable (you can change tasks, names, whatever you wish).
- The second file is in PDF format with blank spaces. You can print it as is and write in names yourself, or you can add text before printing using a PDF tool. (I recommend using I Love PDF–it’s a simple and free online tool.)

Thank you for posting!!! This completes a birthday party plan. Turning a rec room into the space ship with cardboard box walls/stations/hallways (if I can get a few appliance boxes). Instead of flashlights we are using laser tag under black lights. The imposter tags will be turned off for 4 imposters vs 4 crewmates. 1st team to either tag all or complete task wins.

This made me so happy to find! You are incredible! I was wondering how I was going to pull off this Among us IRL game for my son’s 8th birthday, but now I know! I wanted to take advantage of your editable player cards, but I do not have access to Word. Is there another way I could use those? It is a pdf file that can be printed and have names written in by hand, or you can add names using a pdf tool with an edit function (I use ILovePDF). I hope this will work for you! These are amazing quality! I’m so impressed! I’m using the graphics and making an escape room for my son’s party. But after that we will use the set for the IRL game that he and his friends can play.
